Sometimes your biggest fans.........

Sometimes the biggest "fans" of my blog are the harshest critics. Take today for example. I'm talking with a "fan" of the blog on the phone who informs me that my blog is boring and needs to be brought up to date. Said "fan" who just got married and lives in California informed me that everything I had blogged about happened a long time ago! But here's the dilemma....what do you blog about when you don't have anything to blog about? Do you just go on and on about nothing just so that you can say that you posted something?? And then when you posted something about nothing, do you feel better because it seems like you would feel worse because you would have just wasted your time writing about absolutely nothing.

Yup....feels like a waste! Anyway, sorry #1 fan for the lack of cool blogging going on. I hope that someday I can get a life and be able to live up to your standards. By the way though, you have very high standards for someone who doesn't even have a blog!! ;) Haha. You know I love you!!

Does God answer every prayer??

Tonight I was tucking Preston into bed and I asked him what he wanted to pray for....here's what he said:

Dessie (girl from our Bible Study-her name is actually Jessie)
Harold (Wes' Harley riding, long-beared uncle)
Drammmie (Wes' mom- Grammie)
Papaw (Wes' Dad)

Sidenote: If you are detecting a pattern here.......so am I! He seems to have a preference for Wes' side of the family or I guess he thinks they need more prayer!! Just kidding!

Anyway then he says that he wants to pray for:

Chicken Nuggets
French Fries
Ketchup

I think he's been eating too much McDonalds folks....what do you say?

My So-Called Life

I am going to pretend that things are way more exciting in our neck of the woods than they really are.....

GUESS WHAT???

We are walling in the loft upstairs in our house and making a playroom for the boys. As I write, the wall has been erected, plastered, textured and now is being primed by my hunky husband. My dad was here and he was a huge huge help!! But I'm not going to call him hunky...that's just wrong. Anyway, here are the pictures of the progress........

I knew you would think so!! I will be sure to post pictures of the finished product as I am super excited about the paint in the playroom. This time I'm being serious and not sarcastic!! :)

My big boy....

Owen had his first cereal about a week and a half ago. He seemed to like it so we have moved on to carrots and pears. Ahhh, the diet of a baby. So appetizing!! But the carrots must be helping because he has been sprouting a ton of hair on the top of his head and none on the sides........

Breakfast of Champions

You know that kids even as young as Preston know when they're doing something that they are not allowed to do. I was gone this day and so my mom "Mimi" gave Preston breakfast of coffee cake and donuts. Can anyone say sugar rush??? He knew this was his lucky day because right when I got home he told me "Mimi gave me donuts and cake for breakfast!!" Now that he can talk, I know everything!!!! (Cue evil laugh)

Birthday Fun

This is Logan's Roadhouse where they think it's hillarious to make people get up and look like idiots on their birthdays. I told her my real age, 28 and she told everyone I was 21. Maybe I should have gone out drinking or something to celebrate??? Wes was in the bathroom during this but "luckily" my mom took a picture.
