My So-Called Life

I am going to pretend that things are way more exciting in our neck of the woods than they really are.....

GUESS WHAT???

We are walling in the loft upstairs in our house and making a playroom for the boys. As I write, the wall has been erected, plastered, textured and now is being primed by my hunky husband. My dad was here and he was a huge huge help!! But I'm not going to call him hunky...that's just wrong. Anyway, here are the pictures of the progress........

I knew you would think so!! I will be sure to post pictures of the finished product as I am super excited about the paint in the playroom. This time I'm being serious and not sarcastic!! :)

My big boy....

Owen had his first cereal about a week and a half ago. He seemed to like it so we have moved on to carrots and pears. Ahhh, the diet of a baby. So appetizing!! But the carrots must be helping because he has been sprouting a ton of hair on the top of his head and none on the sides........

Breakfast of Champions

You know that kids even as young as Preston know when they're doing something that they are not allowed to do. I was gone this day and so my mom "Mimi" gave Preston breakfast of coffee cake and donuts. Can anyone say sugar rush??? He knew this was his lucky day because right when I got home he told me "Mimi gave me donuts and cake for breakfast!!" Now that he can talk, I know everything!!!! (Cue evil laugh)

Birthday Fun

This is Logan's Roadhouse where they think it's hillarious to make people get up and look like idiots on their birthdays. I told her my real age, 28 and she told everyone I was 21. Maybe I should have gone out drinking or something to celebrate??? Wes was in the bathroom during this but "luckily" my mom took a picture.

Sorry to leave you hanging.....

Hey all, sorry to leave you on a depressing note and then not write for a long time! I'm all better now!! That night of reading and just relaxing really did the trick for my mood. I was feeling good by the next day. A few snapshots from the last few days have been Preston coming out of the bathroom saying "Mommy, I peed on my head!" and he really had. Don't ask me how, I haven't figured it out yet either. I also cleaned up poop from the back of Owen's neck. Now how does that happen??? Wes and I attended a wonderful marriage conference on Saturday "Love and Respect." It was so wonderful and renewing for us!! It was also great to be away from the kids so that you really appreciate them when you get back. Well, that's all for now....life calls.

Feelings of Yuckiness

Do you ever have those days where you just have unexplained depression? That's me tonight. I am just in a meloncholy mood. What do I have to be uhappy about? Nothing! That's what's so weird about it. I just feel restless and sad. Whenever I get restless, I start wanting to move around furniture. I think I like the feeling that something looks "new and improved." It makes me feel good. I was on a mission to get my family room rearranged and even that can't be done! Too many wires that don't reach. Bummer huh? So, I've decided that the cure for my blues is to curl up in bed and eat a Snickers ice cream bar and read a book. Sound nice? Come on over......
